Horses of Hoofprint Bay horse care, confidence and training
Daily care in Horses of Hoofprint Bay is interactive: you brush and comb horses and use a hoofpick to prevent saddle sores and abscesses, and you treat scrapes and injuries when they happen. Training exercises build a horse's strength and confidence, which decide whether it qualifies for competitions.

Confidence and desensitization
In the August 2026 dev update, Thogli Studios explained that confidence was made slower to max out than in the early demo. An unprompted gait change now shows a warning icon first, so you can correct the horse before it speeds up or slows down. A Desensitization course asks you to approach a scary object while watching the horse: praise it when it is curious and give it space and time when it becomes worried.
Walks and trail rides
Any horse can be taken for a walk in the arena or the forest, and nursing mares bring their foals along. Trail rides lead through forest, beach and mountain settings; which trails can be unlocked depends on your Prestige.
